Time To Breathe Easy – "Tile" Will Help You Find Everything

Take this for an instance! You are late for office, and adding to the woe is your inability to remember where you kept the car key. After half an hour of frantic searching, you find it in a jar where you usually keep your pens and pencils. Forget the car key, how many times did you have to face the frustration of not being able to recollect where you placed an item which you immediately want? You’ve lost count I suppose.

Tile will help you find things in a jiffy. This low-energy, Bluetooth-enabled, matchbook-sized device will track your belongings in seconds. So attach it with your keys, stick it to your laptop, or drop it into your wallet – and find what you need by using the Tile iOS app. All you have to do is log into your Tile account from your or your friend’s iOS-enabled mobile device, and can locate its location if it’s within the range of 150 feet. Tile also comes with an in-built speaker, and you can use the app to ring the Tile and find it audibly.

But what if you are out of the range of 150 feet? Well, there is a solution for that too. You can use the app to notify the community network of Tile. Any community member within the range of 150 feet of your lost belonging will instantly get notified. And so will you! And to top it all, you can share your Tile with friends, room-mates, or family members.

The app supports iOS devices, but not every iOS device. It’s effective only with the ones which supports Bluetooth 4.0, and this means the devices are – iPod Touch 5th generation, iPad 3rd and 4th generation, the iPad Mini, and the iPhone 4S and 5. It’s not open for Android as it still doesn’t use Bluetooth 4.0.

Tile is already available for pre-order, and will be officially launched in winter 2013-14. To know more about how Tile works, you can take a look at this video. So what do you think about this newest sensation? Let us know by leaving a comment.
